Best Camp Site in North Cornwall – Boscastle?

If you’re looking for a place to pitch up with beautiful views looking over the north coast of cornwall, you’ve found it. Just a short stroll from Green Lane Camping and you’re on the coastpath that will lead you to the most spectacular coastline of the southwest.

Go North to explore the Pentargon Waterfalls, Rusey Beach, the Strangles and  then Crackington Haven for a bite to eat. Go South, and within 5 miles you’ll reach Tintagel, the home of King Arthur. On the way don’t forget to explore Rocky valley, the Ladies Window & Bossiney Beach.

Onsite we have clean toilet and wash facilities. We have BBQ and fire pits, fire wood is available from the site with the profits going to charity.

Boscastle

A short walk from our camp site, your at the heart of Boscastles Elizabethan Harbour with lots of history to explore. At the top of the village you will find our Premier Store with everything you could need and the Napoleon pub that serves food and drinks in front an open fire in the winter. Stroll down to the harbour through the old roads and historic buildings and you’ll find shops and more places to eat and drink.

Walking in Boscastle

From Green Lane Campsite there’s lots to explore. One of the walks through Valency Valley is beautiful, in the spring you’ll find masses of wild garlic, blue bells and very friendly robins, in the summer walk beside the meandering river that winds up through the woods and then across the bridge to Minster church. From the camp site you will see the old lookout, which is home to wild ponies and spectacular views of the north and south coastpaths,

Beaches near Boscastle

There are lots of beaches to explore for swimming, surfing. Close by you have Bossiney Beach, near Tintagel, which has a fantastic vintage icecream van in the car park. A little further you have Trebarwith Strand, the Port William pub over looking the beach and the local cafe serving hot drinks and pasties. Not forgetting Crackington Haven and the Strangles for the fabulous views. Most beaches on the North coast in the area are dog friendly through out the year.

Looking for somewhere to eat and drink? you are spoilt for choice in Boscastle. A short walk from Green Lane Camping site are 3 pubs, 2 restaurants and 6 Cafes, and Fish & Chips.

You also have two local stores in Boscastle, one in the harbour and one at the top of the village only a few minutes away.
